Upcycled Aptos Kitchen Remodel
This Aptos cottage kitchen was ready to get a much-needed facelift. Outdated cabinets, minimal counter space, open shelves and damaged vinyl flooring led this homeowner our way. She wanted a more functional, updated kitchen but loved the original pine cabinetry.
We kept the cottage charm by refinishing the pine upper cabinets around the kitchen window and pairing them with clean white lowers, Polished Quartz Crema Chiffon counters and backsplash surround the stainless sink. We reused the stove and added a Boos Butcher Block Blended Maple topped built-in buffet with Food Grade Seal. New glass door upper cabinets were added creating a hutch effect. Palisades Avorio tile in a subway pattern covers the entire wall. The existing Douglas fir flooring from the living and dining room was seamlessly added onto throughout the kitchen. A new pantry was added next to the refrigerator. Can lights and under cabinet lights make this a bright and cheery place to work.
Our client loves her kitchen upgrade. With just some imagination and a nod to the past, this space blends seamlessly with the cottage vibe of the rest of the house. Little details can add up to some big changes.
