Bathroom Remodels
CLIENT NEEDS
As part of a complete guest house remodel, the homeowner wanted a full bathroom with dual access—one from the ensuite and another from the hall. This thoughtful design eliminated the need for a second full bath, optimizing both space and budget while maintaining convenience.
TALMADGE SOLUTION
The client collaborated closely with our architect and design team to establish a cohesive style for their entire home. We then guided them through the selection process, helping them choose tile, countertops, plumbing fixtures, accessories, and lighting to achieve their desired aesthetic.
Through careful planning, detailed elevations, and expert guidance, the client had a clear vision of the final design before construction began. For the bathroom, Danielle and her team selected porcelain tiles and elegant brass fixtures, while Talmadge recommended a separate on/off valve, allowing the client to control the water flow without getting wet—enhancing both functionality and comfort.
CHALLENGE
The biggest challenge of this project was maximizing a small space while incorporating everything the client wanted and needed. Our architect worked creatively to design a layout that included both a powder bath and a full bath, ensuring functionality without compromising space. Once the layout was finalized, the selection process flowed seamlessly.
RESULT
Our client is thrilled with the transformation of the guest house bathroom in their Santa Cruz beach home. This young tech family now enjoys the flexibility to use the new space for themselves, rent out the front house, or host guests comfortably. The fresh, modern bathrooms and kitchen perfectly reflect their vision for a youthful, coastal-inspired design.
“Wow! We have dreamed of having this back building and backyard usable since we bought it years ago. Looks so great! Can’t believe it’s ours!”
