CLIENT NEEDS

As returning clients, these homeowners reached out because their hall bathroom had become dated and no longer functional for their family’s needs. We had previously remodeled their primary bathroom, and they trusted us once again to reimagine this space.

Over time, the hall bathroom had accumulated a patchwork of temporary storage solutions, including loose cabinets, additional shelving, and other makeshift fixes, which resulted in a cluttered and disjointed feel. The finishes were worn, the lighting insufficient, and the layout no longer supported daily use. With young grandchildren visiting often, the homeowners also wanted a space that was easy to maintain, safe, and comfortable for all ages.

TALMADGE SOLUTION

To transform this outdated hall bathroom into a brighter, more functional space, our design team focused on elevating the existing layout while simplifying and unifying storage. By maintaining the current plumbing locations and overall room configuration, we streamlined the construction process and allowed the homeowners to invest in higher-quality materials and fixtures.

A key element of the solution was replacing the assortment of loose cabinets and temporary shelving with a generous, well-designed semi-custom wood vanity. This created a single, cohesive storage hub that brought order and visual calm to the room. Light, airy finishes were chosen to brighten the adobe-style home and reflect natural light, giving the space an open and welcoming feel.

Functionality for all ages also guided the design. A new washlet enhances daily comfort, while a shower-rail system with a curtain makes it easy for the homeowner to bathe young grandchildren. A recessed shower niche provides practical built-in storage without adding bulk to the walls.

RESULT

Updated finishes elevate the room and bring this secondary bathroom up to the same standard as the primary bath Talmadge previously remodeled for the homeowner.
