CLIENT NEEDS

Our clients purchased this 1980s coastal home in Aptos with the vision of transforming it into a beautiful living space for their daughter. Just a five-minute walk from the beach and near a local park, the home had incredible potential but had suffered from years of neglect.

As part of a whole house remodel, the primary bathroom needed a complete overhaul to better suit the homeowner’s modern style and functional needs. The existing layout was outdated and awkwardly shaped, limiting both storage and usability.

The client worked closely with our design team to reimagine the primary suite, creating a more cohesive and functional layout.

We redesigned the floor plan to create a seamless flow between the bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. Our team Talmadge Construction guided the client in selecting tile, plumbing fixtures, and designing a custom vanity to maximize storage. To keep costs within budget, we also assisted with sourcing mirrors and lighting online. A key challenge was reworking the upstairs plumbing and bath configuration to align with the new design while meeting the client’s needs.

RESULT

The transformation is nothing short of remarkable. The once outdated space is now a stunning boho-chic retreat, complete with a spacious walk-in shower and a beautifully crafted custom vanity that enhances both style and functionality. The end result is a bright, inviting bathroom tailored to the client’s unique aesthetic and daily routine.
